PADI-specific standards, the Pro’s Guide, risk management, and how PADI structures its core courses.
Confined Skills
Demonstration-quality skill execution at instructor level. You model every Open Water skill.
Teaching Practicum
You teach mock students under Toni’s assessment. Real students if available, mock students if not.
What you can teach as an AI
Discover Scuba Diving — non-certification intro programme.
Skin Diver and Scuba Refresher.
Assistance with Open Water and Advanced Open Water under an instructor.
It is not a full instructor rating. To teach Open Water and Advanced as the lead instructor, you need to complete the IDC and pass the Instructor Examination (IE).
AI is a stepping stone, not a destination
Most candidates use the AI rating as a 3 to 4 day primer before the full IDC. Bundle both and save time and money.
