After a busy few days of IDC Prep Course, and EFR Instructor, tomorrow sees the official start of the July IDC at Thresher Shark Divers. The last few days have been filled with skill circuits, rescue workshops, theory exams and a control workshop. With six candidates, from England, Ireland, Australia and America, the next two weeks promises to be filled with fun. I’m looking forward to hearing their first classroom presentations that day after tomorrow…
Today’s skill circuit was exceptionally good, with all candidates scoring very highly…




We’ve had lots of practise of the rescue assessment too, both with mouth-to-mouth and also using the pocket mask. Everyone is very fluid with this, but we’ll keep practising during the IDC too…


So, tomorrow will start with a couple of presentations in the IDC classroom from me, then after lunch we’ll be back into confined water for a demonstration of a Confined Water Presentation, by me, and then more skills practise… After all, practise makes perfect…
