Most IDC centres train you in one type of environment. Malapascua gives you everything:
- Kimud — The only place in the world where you can reliably see thresher sharks daily

Malapascua has a population of around 4,000-5,000. There are no malls, no nightclubs, no distractions. The island runs on diving and fishing. When you’re here for your IDC, you eat, sleep, and breathe diving.
Affordable Living, Seriously
Malapascua is one of the cheapest places in the Philippines to live. A decent room costs PHP 8,000 to 15,000 a month. A meal at a local restaurant is PHP 100-200. A beer at sunset is PHP 80-120.
For 2-3 weeks during your IDC, total living costs (food, accommodation, basics) will likely be under PHP 25,000 — less than USD 450.
