Last night was a night of celebration at Thresher Shark Divers. Once the day’s diving activities had finished, we all headed upstairs to Oscar’s Bar & Restaurant and had a bit of a party…
Sarah had reached the end of her IDC, and to mark the occasion she gave a perfect 5.0 demonstration of how to drink a half-yard of ale !! Sarah has been an excellent IDC candidate, consistently scored very high marks, and now we wish her the best of success at her forthcoming PADI Instructor Exam – we have every faith she’ll do us proud and ease through the two-day exams and be an Open Water Scuba Instructor very soon !!

Also being celebrated, with the age-old traditional ‘Snorkel test’ was the end of Divemaster Training for two of our interns. Paul and Ian both survived this final test relatively unscathed, and can now proudly call themselves PADI Divemasters !! We wish them both every success in their diving futures !!

And finally, as is tradition at Thresher Shark Divers, everybody who completes a certification course with us earns themselves a special, unique ‘Shark Bite Shot’. This shot was created by Trevor, one of owners, and is a firm favourite with the students and instructors alike…

Shark Bite Shots were awarded last night to a number of our Divemaster interns for various Specialty Courses that had been completed over the last few days – Courses completed included Nitrox, Deep, Wreck, Gas Blender, Emergency Oxygen Provider, Equipment and Peak Performance Buoyancy specialties…

Today has been a ‘relaxing’ day, but we have four more Divemaster certifications to celebrate very soon… And then July’s IDC Prep Course kicks off…
